      Registration

To register your child, complete the registration form and return it to the nursery. Your child’s name will then be added to the waiting list and you will be contacted when a place becomes available. Children are admitted the term after their third birthday.

Applicants are grouped into termly admissions by age. If the size of the group is greater than the number of places available, then the places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The minimum age of registration has been set at 2 years. Ideally, we aim to provide maximum of five terms and a minimum of two.

      Nursery Times

Our nursery has 60 morning places and 60 afternoon places and the session times are as follows:

      • Breakfast Club 8:00am - 8:35am
      • Morning 8.35am – 11.35am
      • Afternoon 12.20pm – 3.20pm
      • 30 Hour Places 8:35am -  2:35pm / 8:00am - 2:00pm

Every effort is made to accommodate your wishes regarding preferred sessions.

Attendance at The Lea Nursery School does not give automatic transferral to any other school. Parents must make a separate application to the local authority for choosing a school for their child.

      The Curriculum

Our nursery school curriculum acts as a firm foundation for more formal learning at infant school.

Carefully planned activities develop the children’s growing abilities in problem solving, language and literacy, knowledge and understanding of the world. Physical skills and children’s creativity are also developed in a variety of ways.

The nursery places a great emphasis on the development of the children’s social skills, finding every opportunity to develop confidence and independence.
